Recreational Therapy & Educational Intervention
Signature Artifact for RPL 210.
Driven by a personal history of navigating communication barriers as the only Deaf member of a hearing family, my mission is to eliminate the isolation and language deprivation often felt by Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth in Michigan. My "Why" is centered on the creation of Bridging the Gap (BTG), a nonprofit summer program designed to provide children ages 5 to 17 with free access to educational and recreational experiences that foster both academic foundations and community connection. By leveraging my background in organizational leadership and media arts, I aim to be a catalyst for change, ensuring that every child has the language support and hands-on opportunities necessary to thrive.
