Support The Open Canopy Project
I am a filmmaker and a member of the Deaf community who believes that access is not an act of charity, but a standard of excellence. I am creating this project to challenge outdated assumptions about Deaf participation in extreme sports. By documenting the reality of our capabilities, I am showing the skydiving industry that the barriers to entry are not physical, but systemic. My goal is to prove that when centers intentionally design for accessibility, they do not just welcome new athletes. They strengthen the entire skydiving community.

The Open Canopy Project highlights the power of an accessible sky. This project serves as a clear example for skydiving centers on how to welcome Deaf jumpers with confidence. By showing that accessible events work, this project aims to create a future where any Deaf individual can find a local center ready to jump, communicate, and succeed together.
